From the back of the Chex box. Everyone loves these! This recipe is easy to halve for a smaller crowd. If I had known everyone was coming over tonight for the Jazz game, I would have made more. The Jazz creamed the Nuggets, even with all of the bogus fouls on Harpring.
1 c semisweet chocolate chips (we like milk chocolate)
1/2 c peanut butter (I used chunky today)
1/4 c butter
1 t vanilla
9 c Chex cereal
1 1/2 c powdered sugar
In 1-quart microwavable bowl, mix chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter. Microwave uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. [I had both kids in the kitchen with me so I forgot to put the vanilla in. There wasn’t a big difference]
In large bowl, place cereal. Pour chocolate mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon food-storage plastic bag. [If you only have 1 gallon bags, just divide everything in half and do it twice]
Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated Spread on waxed paper to cool. [I just leave it in the bag to cool and it works great] Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
