Garlic & Cheese Biscuits

September 17, 2008

Someone gave me this recipe years ago, and I’ve seen it on a couple of different blogs recently. I’ve heard they taste just like Red Lobster’s biscuits, but I wouldn’t know. I went there once on a date when I was in high school, and we both ordered chicken.

2 c Bisquick mix
2/3 c milk
1/2 c sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 c butter, melted
1/4 t garlic salt
1/4 t dried parsley

Mix together Bisquick and milk just until moistened. Fold in cheese. Drop by spoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Combine melted butter with garlic salt and parsley and brush over each biscuit. Serve immediately.

*Even though I baked them for 10 minutes, they were undercooked and a little gooey in the middle. Next time I’ll let them get more golden. Or make them a little smaller.

*I was trying to be healthy and used less butter. It needs the full amount.
