I found this in an old Bisquick recipe booklet. I think each of the boys ate part of one. 2 1/4 c Bisquick
2/3 c milk
8 string cheese
1/4 c butter
1/4 t garlic powder
Preheat oven to 450. Line cookie sheet with foil. Stir bisquick and milk until soft dough forms; beat 30 seconds. Turn dough onto surface generously dusted with bisquick; gently roll to coat. Shape into ball; knead 10 times.
Roll or pat dough into 12×8-inch rectangle. Cut into eight 6×2-inch rectangles. Roll each rectangle around 1 piece of cheese. Pinch edge into roll to seal; seal ends. Roll on surface to completely enclose cheese sticks. Place seam sides down on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Mix butter and garlic powder; brush over warm cheese sticks before removing from cookie sheet.
Serve with pizza sauce. 8 cheese sticks. For high altitude (3500-6500 ft), bake 2 minutes longer.
*I used less butter, I think 2T. I also omitted the garlic powder in an attempt to make it more kid friendly (i.e. bland).
