Apple Crisp

January 11, 2010

I don’t make apple pie anymore. Because of this recipe.

3 lbs apples, peeled and sliced (use something tart, I like granny smith)
1/2 c white sugar
1 t cinnamon
3/4 c brown sugar
1/2 c butter, softened
3/4 c rolled oats
1 pkg Jiffy Apple Cinnamon muffin mix
Preheat oven to 350. Place apples in 9×13 pan. Mix white sugar and cinnamon, use this mixture to cover the apples. Combine rest of ingredients and sprinkle of top of apple mix in pan. Bake 40-45 minutes. Serves 9-12. Or less if you’re in my family.
*We were out of whipped cream, so our great neighbor Dan suggested a little bit of sour cream. It was really good!
*If you have leftovers (ha!), they’re awesome just reheated in the microwave.
