You can pop wheat!  It doesn’t look at all like popcorn, but it’s a fun, different way to snack on whole grains.
Isn’t it pretty?  Everyone should be in love with wheat.

1/2 c uncooked whole wheat berries
2 t olive oil
seasonings to taste (these pics are cinnamon sugar)
Place wheat kernels in pan, heat to medium.  Swirl occasionally to avoid burning.  Wheat will begin to make popping noises (but it won’t look much different).  When popping has almost stopped, remove from heat.  Toss with oil and seasonings.
